Greetings and welcome to my first blog post, a real one, I mean. After seven published novels, three on the go and one to be released in August, I have only just found the guts to blog.

Why now? Well, because it’s probably about time my readers got to know a little about who it really is behind the books – and honestly, I thought it was a little self-indulgent to write about oneself. And what’s different now? Not much really, I’m still a little gun-shy, but I think I owe it to my readers to be a little more upfront.

So, a brief note about myself – I will share more of these as I work up the courage. I teach high school students English and Art, which are my favourite things to do, read and paint. I have three beautiful grown children, Emerald, Alexis and Dean, and John and I are finally empty-nesters. I have two gorgeous puppies, Scarlett and Benji, not really puppies, but they are like my children so they are forever puppies. And I love my mum (I had to include her or else she will not cook for me), she is my number one fan – love you Mum!

What else? Oh, hobbies, a long list but I won’t bore you too much. Love to play pool, in fact John and I do it every Saturday night, and apart from something really important, like a wedding or a funeral, it takes precedence over everything else. Motorbike riding, yes(!) but I sold my bike not too long ago. Still happy to ride along with John. Oh yeah, I am a bit of a thrill seeker, jumping out of a plane, done the bungee… Oh, of course, reading – lots to recommend, so stay tuned.

Just by the by, I detest pics of myself, so every pic you see of me is taken under duress.
