Rita’s Ramblings…
April 28 2023
Hello friends and thanks for checking in. I'm still trying to incorporate a comment box here but my tech skills are a little lacking - I'll get there. In the meantime, please continue sending me your feedback via the form below, I’ve loved receiving them.
The last couple of weeks have been busy. Apart from working on my marketing skills (which has so far redeemed better than expected results), I have been working on my new project, Everybody's Got a Billy, which is a short story collection that I began at the end of last year. I had to pause the project at the time because some of the contributors didn't provide me with their stories and I didn't really want to push them too much for it. However, I put out a post on my socials and I now have enough to complete the project! More on the project is in my post below - but it’s basically about a first love or a significant love of someone’s life. I have got some really juicy stuff out of these, which meant that some of the contributors have chosen to remain anonymous. I'm hoping to finish them within a month or so, so look forward to some really fun stuff, some sad things and some beautiful stories.
This also means that my novel, which is in its second draft is on the backburner. I will tell you a little more about it in another post. I have a full weekend that I have dedicated to my writing so hopefully I will be going hammer and tongs on both these projects.
The school term has begun, which I, for one, am excited about. I love the craziness of my classes and the routine of school life and always look forward to the stories that my students bring back after a holiday. A little more about that next week…
Until then…
Rits.
